If they can, they also may go to the UK for school. They still have some ties to the Commonwealth for sure, and climate didn’t seem to stop them because St. Lucia is very small and other than tourism, no longer has much going for it. The Bahamas may be different in that regard, though.
I think they should go to New Jersey.

Isn’t the Nassau airport open? Not all the islands were affected.

Not sure they're doing outbound commercial yet. Airport busy with supply planes. Just not sure.... however easier to fly out of numerous airports in FL. Ferry running out of Ft. Lauderdale I thought was still in service.

There are a number of scheduled flights but who knows. It would be great if they could get to FL though.

Glad Floridians have been so eager to help. Hurricane season is still in full swing so for them to be giving what they can is extra special.

Maybe people will realize this time without all the partisan politics how much longer it takes to deliver significant aid to island nations as opposed to places where you can send in trains and semis full of supplies.

Lots of flights in and out of smaller airports like Staniel Cay. I have been there many times before by boat and plane. Those folks in the northern Bahamas have to go south to use them. Typical small island airport.

They announced that all schools, except those in Abaco and Grand Bahama, are opening on Monday the 9th.
