As long as we have criminals and the possibility of tyranny I'll keep my arsenal.

8. Cities like Chicago and Baltimore allow for temporary military police assistance and curfews
9. Finish the border wall at our southern borders
good post illustrating how left and right aren't really that far apart.
Both teams believe in the validity of a group of strangers to determine their rights and they've resigned themselves to arguing over the details.

The betterment of man kind?

Practice with a muzzle loader, those bullets could be priced at todays rates. No need for semi auto.

Govt could buy back slowly and sell them to another country.
I don't have my guns for hunting.....they are for defense. I will not be very effective when 4 guys are coming at me as I ask them to wait while I reload.....

How much are you 'buy back' people talking, per weapon? $500 ea maybe?
And how much is registration going to be in your fantasy world?

People with guns for protection typically live in fear. Attackers with guns don't fear people.

Muzzle loaders are effective hunting, protection, and even suicide.

Buy back discussion could be around tax credits or split over a few years. Would depend on the numbers per state.

Registration could be left up to the state, but I'd say $50-$100.

The comedian Dave Chapelle said in his latest stand up..

"if we really want gun control, every African American needs to buy a gun."

Make owners be required to have mandatory safety training, require safe storage, with trigger locks, and ammo separate, restrict handguns to those with extra, intensive training. Mandatory background checks for ALL sales, including private ones, with strict penalties, meaning jail time, for those that do not do so.
