If I was in charge.... just a few for starters...….
1. Enhanced background check
2. Allow open and concealed carry all states
3. Mandatory qualifications for all gun owners
4. 3 strike rule for felons
5. Country wide death penalty
6. Hard time for all criminals to pay for crimes committed
7. Zero plea deals for murders
8. Cities like Chicago and Baltimore allow for temporary military police assistance and curfews

Registration has always been the start of confiscation, look at history.

A fingerprint system that attaches to your gun or is built in much like your phone needs to be developed. Similar to an infrared sensor.

While we're at it offer a buy back of all assault rifles.
So you would end all hunting? At $100 each, no one would hunt deer and hundreds more people would die each year in car/deer accidents. And many animals would die through over-population. Target shooting and all competition shooting would be eliminated. Poor people could no longer protect themselves from predators.
If people could not afford to practice, more people would die by accident.
Your ideas would increase deaths.

And you can't "buyback" something you did not sell in the first place.

Ohhhh, I see. So make ammunition so expensive that nobody can afford it thus rendering all firearms useful only perhaps as clubs. The "fingerprint system" ("smart gun" technology). Ah yes, a "buy back."

A hundred bucks a round aye? Wow. Yea that's some expensive shooting for sure. Good luck pulling that one off. Oh, that might indeed cause some...inconvenience...but realistically I don't see hat happening.

"Smart gun" technology is a LONG way from being viable yet, and even if it were how would that have any effect on things as it stands? I suppose everyone would be required to surrender any and all "dumb" firearms and then if they still wish to own a gun purchase a "smart" one? LOL, I'd jump on that about as quick as I'd jump off a bridge. I'll just keep my old fashioned "dumb guns" thanks.

Pretty much the same principal with the semi autos I have in my safe on the buy back deal. They aren't for sale. I do believe the decision to sell my private property rests with me and me alone. But thanks for the clarifications.

Just like me selling the 22 semi auto my father bought me in 1956, not happening. Or the S & W pearl handled revolver that my FIL left me.

Bow and arrow. There's no skill in hunting with todays guns cmon.

Practice with a muzzle loader, those bullets could be priced at todays rates. No need for semi auto.

Govt could buy back slowly and sell them to another country.

Hell while your at it lets have a government buy back program of all vehicles and make people either walk of horse back. This will curb pollution and obesity.

Muzzler loaders bring back the sport of hunting. Eliminate the high powered scopes with mag rounds. Where you actually have to sneak in closer to your kill and exercise.

Again muzzle rounds would be todays pricing.

Smart gun technology should also be "developed" as an accessory to your current gun. Anyone that's registered their weapon would need to go through an inspection like a smog shop.

As for selling back your weapons that is on you. If you decide to keep them registration is gonna be expensive.

Anyone caught with an unregistered gun can work in the labor camps and do their time.

Muzzle loaders bring back the sport to what it was... 2nd amendment era... real sportsmen.
