I try to dress nicely, and for pants/jeans it isn't hard to find size 38 waists. Now trying to find stylish 3xl shirts is tough, so that is my motivator to lose weight.

I've never seen any of those examples. Chairs are normal size at my doctors, and I could care less what my "size" is called. Petite is a designation in woman's close relating to HEIGHT, not size.

My clothes sizes are all over the place depending on if it's Juniors or Misses. I'm a size 5 in juniors, a size 4 outside of that. Large tops in Juniors, small or medium elsewhere. Heck, I still have a pair of jeans in a 0 that fit. I don't see much vanity sizing.

Seriously ? I see it in mens clothing all the time. Shirts come in different fits, sport jackets etc.

"Executive fit" WTF does that mean ? Is it for the successful, lobster 5 martini lunch guys that skip out on the gym or just successful guys ?

The link states "portly suits" ...what does that tell you ?

It doesn't matter either way - food advertising is about promoting over eating, and that isn't going to change anytime soon.

Tells me it is a suit that will fit fat men?

The words describe the TYPE of it. Whether it's loose in the middle or fitted, broader in the shoulders and that type of stuff.

Just like us, BF jeans is a loose cut, curvy is for women with a booty... etc. It gives you a guideline on what the cut is.

So why isn't it marketed as portly instead of executive ? Its all good, if you don't see it you never will. There are plenty of articles about this topic that prove it is being done.

Primarily because I could care less what sizing label is assigned to my clothes. It stands to reason that they found marketing Fat Guy Cut to be ineffective.

I agree but its not just food advertising. So why are peoples nickers in a bunch over fat models in ads?
I think the unobtainable (child passed of as an adult and anorexic models) does more harm than a fat model especially for young girls. Setting the false and unhealthy and unnatural body image as a standard and shaming those who can't obtain it can create depression, anxiety, self-loathing, eating disorders and even suicidal thoughts.
What harm does a fat model do. Let fat people know they are people too, maybe take a look at themselves and decide they dont want to look like that.
Until our society changes the crap processed foods, use of sugars and fats and even the toxic wheat we use we wont see changes in this obesity epidemic.

Well, French people tend to do that. Not shaming when someone is already overweight of course, that would be cruel, but taken in the womb.

Over less than 10 pounds, people tell each others, even a simple stranger in the street.

It's an addiction for most obese people. Shame can help bring a person to the point of being willing to change. Obesity is so prevelant that it is accepted in society. Churches won't touch the topic because so many of their members qualify.
