I'm not a big fan off news from CNN. But this story posted by CNN I have to totally agree with. A young woman suffered dearly from a torrent of racial hate online which made her suffer mentally. Instead of seeking restorative justice via loss of livelihood by racist perpetrators. The young woman did the obvious that folks who believe in wokeness do not do . That is to sue ones for words that they use agaisnt you.

Back in the day. If someone wrong you or said something politically, socially or cultural offense to community, family, nation etc. One can challange that individual to a dual. First blood and its over. However duals were seen as barbaric to the common man by the mid 19th century. Common-law took things on hand in which one can sue someone for personal injury in the name of restorative justice in the name. Of slander. Somehow by the early 21st century, suing has fallen out of favor with restorative justice in favor of social media, demanding one that needs to be fired, expelled or evicted for things that a person say or has done in the past. Getting folks fired evicted or expelled is teachable, however causes real great harm in which that the individual becomes a public burden with no job or home, via firing and eviction, or won't be accepted into colleges or programs due to his or her noterority.

I really commend this woman on suing this individual that called her racial slurs online, instead of taking part in new forms of restorative justice like getting people, fired, expelled or evicted. And I hope those that dwell in social justice activism sue for justice instead of completely ruining ones livleyhood. I hope more folks that dwell in social justice, conscious black movements and feminism would prefer to sue someone over bigotry, racsim, sexism and homphobia vs completely runining someone livelihood. Unless malintent is the context.
