Conservatives latch on to "anti-abortion" to salvage failing reputation. (illegal, death)

Simply put, when Republicans are in charge such as is currently the case:


-the debt and deficit goes up

-our environment is sold to the highest bidder

-conservative politicians are okay with our citizens being blasted away in public places as long as the NRA funds their reelection.

-adultery, porn, and multiple divorces/marriages now acceptable.

-bullying, lies, name calling, and racist comments overlooked.

-young children taken from their mothers and locked in fenced areas without loving care, diapers, or proper medical attention.

-profiting from public office? GOP turns the other way and pretend they don't see it.


Conservatives now hang their hat on being anti-abortion to somehow try to prove that they are the party of principles and righteousness!

anecdotally, the people I know aren't anti-abortion, but shocked by the abortion rights advocates' recent stance that a baby isn't a human until the child moves through the birth canal and is given human right to life.

the extreme position of the democratic presidential candidates of abortion on demand isn't just a republican concern.

sounds like the same thing democrats are known for as well. except that now democrats are pushing for not only later term abortions, but post birth abortions, and paying for abortion worldwide.

If the Republican party is the party of "principles" and the Democrats are the party of diversity and tolerance all I can say is wow. I would rather stick by solid principles of Loving America then being told I am a racist for not accepting the diversity that is coming across our border illegally for example.....?

What's new? Republicans always focus on abortion, homosexuality, and other issues the religious right is strongly passionate about because it guarantees them the votes of almost 40% of Americans.

Christian conservatives believe that abortion is a baby holocaust and one of the worst atrocities in human history. They also believe that if they support a pro-choice candidate, that they will be held personal responsible before God on judgment day for every death of every aborted baby since Roe v Wade. Many also believe they are accomplices to the tolerance of homosexuality and gay marriage as well if they support Democrats. With those kind of stakes at play, they have no choice but the solidify their support behind the GOP. To them, it's not just an issue of policy but also one of salvation.
