More on this? More gun laws dont stop criminals from getting guns. They buy them from illegal channels or steal their own. Gun laws will only take guns out of law abiding peoples hands, making it harder to defend themselves from criminals. Execute the killers, which will decrease the killing.

There is no such thing as responsible drunk drivers, responsible speeders, etc. There is such a thing as responsible gun owners, and we would appreciate it if you find another way to deal with the criminals besides infringing upon the rights of responsible gun owners.

You created separate categories.

There's responsible drivers and responsible gun owners. So, your right. Just simplifying.

Laws exist to minimize the risk of both mediums. It's impossible to 100% prevent.

But why should I not be able to own a car that goes a 140 MPH? Why infringe on my rights?

Correct, and we already have gun laws and gun control. Chicago is a great example of this, and a great example of gun control failing miserably. IMO, gun education is the best remedy. Giving citizens the knowledge and power to defend themselves from criminals will make criminals think twice about targeting American citizens.

You know what other countries has a well armed population? Switzerland, Canada, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, and many other places that offer a quality of life that is the envy of much of the world.

You can always move to Germany where you can drive any speed you want on the autobon. Even still, most roads there do have a posted speed limit, just like in the USA.

As far as I can tell, you are free to drive any speed you want off road, in the middle of the desert in the USA. But if you want to use the government's roads, you must abide by the rules of the road. You are the first person I know of who has complained about this.
