Ridiculous, anything can be taxed, more than once even. The only limitations are that of the politicians imagination and their need to be reelected. And govt schools work wonders at getting minds right for the thievery in the present and in the yet to be dreamt up.

They pay no taxes whatsoever.

Newspapers are exempt from sales taxes by law.

Permits are usually free. Fees are for security provided by local law enforcement. If your public assembly does not concern issues that have the potential for violence, then you won't need law enforcement for security.

Klan rallies have the potential for violence, but Save the Whales does not.

Certainly you can see the difference.

You'll need to cite a State, county or municipal law, regulation or ordinance, because I'm not aware of any.

I've worked on dozens of petitions and never paid a thing and never met anyone who has.

Nobody knows what the true cost of a gallon of gas is. Most (wrongly) assume the only tax on it is the actual state gas tax. By the time the fuel actually makes it into your tank it has been taxed so many times numbers don't go that high.

Well, numbers in the govt schools don't.
