Looks there are about 198,000 homeschoolers in California. Total population is 38,000,000.
I think that the only way that they would go after homeschoolers would be to do so indirectly by eroding homeschoolers rights to a point where the state made it more difficult if not impossible for many people to homeschool and in turn, forced many back into the school system which would then require being fully up to date on all vaccinations.
Right, you believe that they are all safe all the time. Won't even CONSIDER that a death in the family indicates a high risk and that the parent should be allowed by law to OPT OUT.
Saying it's rare? Makes no difference to the ones who die.
Provide evidence that the "death in the family" was due to the vaccine and that it was due to a health condition shared by other children in the family and the medical exemption will be granted.

But tell him you almost died getting a vaccine and so you do not want your child to get it and you get REPORTED TO THE GOVERNMENT.
The number who "almost died getting a vaccine" is close to zero. That someone "almost died getting a vaccine" is not a medical reason to exempt other family members from being vaccinated.
Someone might "almost die" from eating peanuts. That does not mean anyone else in the family is at risk to "almost die" from eating peanuts.

No one is forcing anyone to do anything. Don't want to vaccinate? Don't. You just may not be able to send your children to public school.
For CA that is a bit over 6.5 million kids and almost 200,000 home schooled.
It doesn’t matter. If the state targets homeschooled kids it will be embarrassing for them considering the fact that the authorities have always touted the reasons to focus vaccination campaigns all on children in school has to do with them spending so much time together in groups and to protect the vulnerable kids who go to school and who can’t get vaccinated. If the state goes after homeschoolers, adults better be ready because there will be no reason for them not to be next.
Oddly I just read an article about this doctor. She was responsible for 1/3 of all ME in San Diego area. It translated to 25 per year. She also said that she denied 7 out of 10 people who asked for them. Hardly passing them out like lollipops.
You’re correct it was 1/3 of the ones in San Diego. 1/3 of 486 waivers is 162 not 25. And she freely admits the guidelines she uses for granting waivers do not comply with State regulations.
Why the obsession with forcing people to do things that they do not want to do?
Who’s forcing you? Not the state of California (or any other state), not the Federal government, not your doctor or your insurance company either. Who is it that’s coming at you vaccine in hand to hold you down and deliver a shot?
Absolutely no one that’s who. All this hand wringing about a change in vaccine waivers equates to absolutely nothing because you still have the right to just say no.
(Now if your complaint is really that you won’t be able to easily avoid vaccines and still send your kids to public school that’s another subject. That’s a discussion on the consequences of one's choices not the ability to make the choice.)

Yes it matters. Using 38 million rather than 6.5 million makes it look like home schoolers are a far smaller population than they are. It is deceptive.
Unless there are future measles outbreaks traceable to home schooled children there is no reason to include them in vaccine mandates.
As far as measles is concerned, all we need to do is stop its importation. Require proof of immunity for anyone entering the US from a foreign country.
Are they checking to make sure everyone with high blood pressure is force fed their pills?
Checking to make sure those with diabetes are stabbed with their insulin shots on a regular basis?
How do people NOT see this as an erosion to freedom?
What will YOU do when your doctor says there is only one way, and it's the governments. I WILL give you this drug and you WILL take it.
What then?
I agree, govt did the exact same thing a few years back with opioid prescription drugs, they put heavy restrictions on doctors and pharmacies (yeah, Govt knows best), and the only reason, was so the drug cartels could get rid of their competition, its truly pathetic, our govt caters to criminal organizations and creates laws which benefit them.

You didn't read the post I was responding to so your reply is irrelevant. It wasn't about number of kids in public school.
