The appeals court found that Battani’s sentence did not take into account the extent of Paul’s injuries, which were characterized as “more than minor” in Monday’s ruling, written by U.S. Circuit Judge Jane Branstetter Stranch.

Great news. Let this serve as a warning to all the many unhinged leftists on the loose in America. You cannot assault people who disagree with you and then get a slap on the wrist from a like-minded left wing judge.

Where is this "democrat brain" you speak of? Surely it lives next to the Loch Ness Monster, the Abominable Snowman, or a unicorn.

The guy wasn't a leftist or political, wasn't this his neighbor and they fought over landscaping or something like that.

You're breaking a carefully crafted narrative with your facts and stuff.

The guy was shown to be an avid Trump hater who made his views known on social media and online message boards. Much like the liberals on C-D.

It's likely that Paul's attacker got a lighter sentence than "average" because it was likely his first offense given his more upscale lifestyle.

I have seen no proof of either the attacker nor first judges political orientation and as others have noted it was a neighbor dispute, not political. so basically I'm not buying what the OP is selling unless they can craft a much tighter case.

Lastly, independent of this case it is important to be watchful for prosecutors\judges going easy or hard on people due to politics either directly or indirectly and I'm not singling out any specific party but just the reality that in many places judges and prosecutors are elected and basically public opinion will sway them. For example, we all saw Jussie Smoletts get a free pass in Chicago and we've seen other stories for decades about people buying their way out of trouble with connections and high power lawyers.

GOOD!!!

The guy was a doctor (do no harm) and sent his neighbor to the hospital with broken ribs and concussion over politics. Not only that, apparently cold-cocked him, making him a spineless douchebag! Typical progressive nutter with violent tendencies.

Thread Fail. You have no proof that the attack was made because of political views. It was the result of a neighbor dispute.
