"then produce a fake emergency" Explain why obama and the dems in Congress VOTED for and APPROVED the spending for a "fake emergency" when THEY did so to build border protection.
Congress voted for it!? Then there’s no problem and you’re trying to compare apples to oranges. Congress didn’t vote for this.

But NOW you are concerned!
When a poster falsely claims that Trump never promised Mexico would make a lump sum payment and that his plan (going back to 2015) was to fund the wall using tariffs and taxing remittances, I think its perfectly fair game to point out that, going back to 2015, Trump's plan (in writing) was based on his promise that Mexico would make a lump sum $5-10 billion payment and made no mention of funding the wall using tariffs and taxing remittances.
Republicans had complete control of the budget process during 2017-2018. They failed to pass a budget for their President's wall. Democrats have nothing to apologize for in opposing this.

Exactly.
We knew it was a waste of money in 2017, and in 2018 during the Republican 115th congress and now in 2019. There is therefore bi-partisan multiyear agreement on record that it is a waste of taxpayer dollars. What is driving this issue now is nothing more than Trump's embarrassment in having failed to get either political party to approve of his waste of money.
Oddly Trump's original broken promise was that the American taxpayers would not have to pay for it. He is now in the embarrassing situation of having to admit that he failed in getting Mexico to pay for the wall, or otherwise to admit that he was lying all along.
...........Tariffs are paid by the consumer not the exporting country, and I guess 0 is the answer, Trump threaten Mexico with a 5% tariff but he didnt do it.
.............
Can you explain why this threat to make "American people pay tariffs" worked so well, and why Mexico started enforcing the law after they were .... well, "not threatened"?

Aug, 2017:
Before leaving for August recess, House Republicans made the first move on a wall, passing a security funding bill that included Trump’s $1.6 billion request for roughly 70 miles of new barriers on the southern border. The House bill also increased the Defense Department budget by more than $70 billion above current spending caps set in law. All but five House Democrats opposed the measure. Such a bill, however, is doomed in the Senate, where 60 votes — meaning eight Democrats — are needed to pass any spending agreement
WASHINGTON (AP) — Senate Democrats are moving on two fronts to block President Donald Trump from using special emergency powers to transfer money from military base construction projects like new schools to pay for new fences along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Dems offered Trump $25 Billion for his wall back in 2018 and he turned it down. Traitorous Donny is stealing money from the military for his wall that was supposed to be paid by Mexico.

If Republicans ever had "complete control" the bill would have sailed through.
That bill never made it out of committee because they lacked the Republican votes to do so. The Senate Democrats never filibustered (or otherwise voted on) it.
A while ago I saw of picture of a little girl maybe around 10 holding up a sign which read, "Your Generation can build this Wall, but MY Generation can tear it down".
Don't think that will ever happen?
