There is ONE thing that no one can doubt.

If we took the 3 Trillion PLUS we spend on health care and spent it in better ways, we could cover everyone and anyone better than anything we have done up until now.

So, that being the truth, a true universal system would cost vastly less. At worst it would cost the same........

We are spending 40-100% more than other advanced countries and getting nothing for it except crooks Like Rick Scott making 100's of millions.

So you refuse to name who the major donors of the puppets you vote for are. No wonder you also defend the corrupt practice of banning Medicare from negotiating drug prices. You LOVE corruption. Thats why you vote for it.

The people who are against this are voting for corrupt crooks who prefer the status quo. Its the sad reality they cant admit to.

If you have to even ask it means you never studied the issue. It's not our job to educate you in the very basics........BUT, just for a taste, I get big checks back every years because a REGULATION put into place with RomneyCare (and now ACA) limits the amount that can be spent on Administration.

Up until that point, you could have been charged 40% administration fees...or more.

See? Regulation good.

Can you provide a link to show this ^^^^?

I was on private insurance for many years and am now on Medicare. What I see in my COB statements is that Medicare pays out less than what my insurance would pay for medical services. In fact some doctors refuse to accept Medicare patients because Medicare pays less. Sounds to me that the private insurance payments are the ones that are inflated.

Refundable tax credits eligible only for those in the middle class and the low-income earners.

So... recalculating gives us the following...

Cost of childbirth, average = $32,000
Number of births US, approximate = 4,000,000
Total cost of childbirth, US, annual = $128,000,000,000
Number of US taxpayers, approximate = 78,000,000
-------
Cost of childbirth, per US taxpayer, annual = $1,641

So at the time of the service rendered, the person having the child might actually pay nothing, but over the year, they and every other taxpayer paid $1,641.

Now, let us do a bit more math:

Cost of healthcare, US annual, approximate = $3.5 trillion
Number of US taxpayers, approximate = 78,000,000
-------
Cost of healthcare, per US taxpayer, annual = $44,872
I stipulate. My stats were lazy, and you upgraded them. Thanks.

So it's worse than we thought, because now the couple that could pay $32k the year the baby is born will instead pay $90k annually, every year, no matter what goods/services in the healthcare industry they consume. So he year they have the baby, instead of paying $32k (or billing insurance for it) at time of service, they'll pay $90k in paycheck based installments.

What a great plan!!

Bernie is a puppet, as well. If you disagree, list EXACTLY which government regulations/controls over the health care industry Bernie will eliminate. We're STILL waiting...

Shouldn't it be PROMINENTLY posted on Bernie's campaign website? I don't see it. List EXACTLY which government regulations/controls over the health care industry Bernie will eliminate, thereby reducing the cost of health care in the US.

As long as the US Gov maintains its stranglehold regulations/controls over the health care industry, costs will continue to increase. Bernie should be taking his cue from other first world countries that allow the OTC purchase of meds and medical devices.

Ah, so the Government forced the Pharma Bro to increase the cost of Epipen?

You need to study the issue further.

The Fed Gov allowed the Epipen to be a regulated/controlled device. Get it? Asking again... Put Bernie on the record... Which Fed Gov regulations/controls over the health care industry will Bernie eliminate, thereby reducing the cost of health care in the US?
