I'd use it to move some place with even less democrats and diversity. And since it's free money maybe waste some of it on buying a new motorcycle or sports car.

giving 1000/month (12000/year) to every 18+ in America would cost 3 trillion.....

you math was weighed, and comes in wanting

People that take the $1000 will have to give up food stamps and welfare. Half Americans are getting variations of help and don't want to be told where to spend their welfare money. The real numbers would be around $1,8T. Entire economy is around $20T Fed budget around $4T. This money goes right back into the economy as a stimulus and tax revenue. People will reinvest it, pay for gas, food, daycare, school, etc.. As a result less money will be spent on crime and prisons, mental health, homeless,etc.. Many moms will have a chance to raise their kids rather than daycares which will result in a more stable society. Think of it as a Social Security from tech companies. Also there will be a lot of unforeseen assistance stopped if people are getting $1000 a month.

While this is a very progressive measure rather than giving to the 1% it's a chance to take back from the 1%. 57% of Americans not being able to afford a $500 bill is insane. I don't trust the govt to create jobs. They are however good at taxing companies and issuing checks.

The people in this thread paid more in taxes last year than Amazon. How ludicrous is that?
