A lot of conspiracy theories about things like terrorist attacks and mass shootings. For my part I don't think politicians orchestrate these events, I think they exploit them. They have pre-prepared responses to them that help further their agendas. The neocons exploited 9/11 to start a war they were already itching for and to get Americans to agree to give up some of their rights. The left exploits mass shootings to erode and eventually take away our 2nd amendment rights and to get us to agree to it when emotions are high.
Imagine how many loonies would be shrieking about the 9/11 conspiracy if Gore were President.
And then imagine if Pres. Gore invaded Iraq.
I'll let that digest for a minute.

In July, Commissioner Gioia and the four other commissioners of their fire district unanimously approved a resolution calling for a new investigation into the September 11th attacks. Two of the other commissioners are suffering chronic health effects from working at Ground Zero, and one of the department’s members, Thomas J. Thats not the point, the point is rightwingers who supported Bush are some of the biggest conspiracists out there. If it happened under Gore, and he immediately accused Saddam Hussein of being responsible, like the neoconservatives did, and then invaded Iraq?
They would have never stopped talking about it.
