I know Beto (and numerous other liberals) wants to take guns away... who will take government away when they fail?

Parkland dad uncovers how district enabled deranged student-turned-shooter

When staff at Westglades Middle School heard that Nikolas Cruz had committed the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, some couldn’t believe it. The fact that he was a mass murderer wasn’t what surprised them, but rather the fact that he had attended that school.

...
Cruz’s torture and killing of animals became a source of pride for him as he interacted with other students. One student, Devin, recalled that, although he tried to avoid Cruz, Cruz would approach him almost every day and ask, “Would you like to see videos of me skinning animals?” Devin always declined, but Cruz kept asking.

Cruz’s records suggest that his reign of terror at Westglades Middle School began halfway through his seventh-grade year, in February of 2013. For the next calendar year, Cruz was suspended every other day. Why did the school allow him to remain enrolled despite his daily, deranged behavior for a full year? Not by negligence, but by policy.

After detailing numerous events and occurrences regarding his behavior...

Nikolas Cruz couldn’t possibly have made himself any clearer. Broward schools staff knew exactly who and what he was. Yet they not only allowed him to enroll in Marjory Stoneman Douglas, they literally gave him an air gun, shaped like an AR-15, and let him practice shooting.

Same thing with the Sutherland Springs shooter. His two crimes were not reported while he was serving in the Air Force in 2014... he lied on his background check and there were no crimes in the database, so he was given the right to purchase a weapon.

Disclaimer: To those who want to abolish all government... this is slight hyperbole.

LOL.

Go ahead and try. You aren't allowed to do the jobs they are suppose to be doing in your name. See all the people threatened with prosecution for filling pot holes or cutting soccer fields because the government, despite taking your money to do it, sucks at its job. Meanwhile, you just want to drive to work or have the field operable so your kid can play soccer on it after you paid for its upkeep as well as his membership fees.

You want government. You got it. (shoves the pie in your face) Enjoy!

Easy. Let all of them hold hands and jump in the pool together.

No water in it. Just cement.

It's a people problem, not a systemic government problem. If government personnel did their jobs properly - at least in this case - the shooter would have never had the opportunity to shoot up the school.

If we remove the government, then how do we maintain some order? Otherwise, it sounds like anarchy to me!

That's not how it works though.

You are giving government workers traits they lose when they walk through that door.

I worked in county administration for years (before I came to my senses about the State).

I had no motivation for job performance as a means for promotion. I had no incentive to bring about better team results. I had no avenues to even pursue those things. You can only put the square peg through the square hole. Questioning why, what about round pegs, what about round holes, etc. is not part of the M.O.

Everyone in there knows that. It is how we get to a place like Parkland where even though we have regular people in there who don't want something like that to occur, obviously, they can't do much if anything about it outside of the way the government wants to do it.

That last part is key. You have to convince the government, if you see wrong, through its eyes that X needs to be done and Y needs to be discarded. The only way to do that is to experience, report it up the chain of command, and then hope a superior can convince the man behind the curtain to act.

You have to understand that under those conditions, day in/day out, people aren't willing or even able at some point to do that. They know from past endeavors in which nothing was done or matters were made worse.

This is the complete opposite of the private sector where incentives and non-monopolized industry encourage individuals to not only find solutions to problems that hit them in the face but to even go back and look at things working well and try to make them work even better.

This is the difference between socialism and capitalism. Socialism darkens the soul. It dulls the senses. It wears you down. Capitalism uplifts you. It churns that competitive spirit ingrained in all humans. It illuminates the mind.

There are a number of anarchists here.

I'm not an anarchist, but at least it's better than socialism and communism.
