Would be interesting if they tracked each expensive country bankrupting non-sense program the Democrats are coming up with.

The proposals aren't small increases either of a billion or year. Each and every one of their proposals adds up to hundreds of billions of dollars over a decade and they come out with a new one several times a week.

The bribes for votes from the Democrats are coming in fast. Seems like multiple times per week, Democrats propose new expensive programs that if implemented will bankrupt America in a decade.

I don't believe the education is a government issue, but it's one thing if the money is coming from state and local taxes but the Democrats want use deficit spending to induce more people into voting them.

The average teacher pay now is about $62,000 a year for 1,080 hours in the classroom or just over 60 dollars for instructional hour.

Joe Biden said give them a raise out of the $60,000 level, but he didn't specify how much of a raise he wanted.

The federal government should have nothing to do with teacher pay. This is a state and local issue. While there are plenty of deserving teachers out there that are underpaid, there are also a lot that aren't.

Level the ground. Some cites garbage truck drivers make $110,000 a year that can be high school drop outs. Something seems a little off.

Teachers I know can only dream of making 60K a year. And "instructional hour"? Obiviously you have never known, been married to, or been a teacher. LOL. Again, every teacher I know puts in about 60-70 hours in and out of the classroom each week on lesson plans, grades, school meetings, school functions, etc. not to mention spending hundreds of bucks from their sorry salary buying supplies for their rooms, school supplies for the students, and even clothing and shoes for the kids.

Now I agree that the shifting of education funding to the feds is not desirable. On the other hand, the continued failure of states, primarily red ones, to meet what was once considered a sacred responsibility to the next generation of Americans, has left our schools broke, busted and short of teachers. So if Biden has a better idea, I will listen.

Very few teachers could put in 20 years as garbage truck drivers. And I'm sure that figure you gave includes TONS of overtime and sure as hell no summer vacation for life.

What does "level the ground" even mean? Do you or biden have any idea what wages should be for teachers or how to account for regional differences, supply of teachers, demand for teachers, exceptional teachers, ineffective teachers, etc? Of course you don't, so you introduce "garbage truck drivers" into the mix lol

Democrats bribe teachers. Republicans bribe billionaires.

Educated teachers low pay, compared to drop outs pay. Trump the genius cant help you on this one.

And some principles can make a 130K a year. Nothing is stopping a teacher from climbing the ladder, like other professionals are forced to do if they want more $$$. Of course, the numbers we are both using reflect the higher income earning potential, and not the mean or median income.

Personally, I feel better knowing the garbage truck I'm sharing the road with is being driven by a respectable, well paid person, and not a low wage, drug addicted scab. Those machines are dangerous. Educators should also like the fact that there are an abundance of opportunities available in this country for their students when they graduate. Including good paying jobs for their students who may not be gifted, but still can contribute some good to this world.
