Fox News has been successful at redefining Socialism. In effect Socialism is anything that cause higher taxes on corporations or the wealthy. And most of you are buying what some Miss America wanna be says on Fox News.

Here is the text book definition of Socialism. Socialism is the state ownership of major industry. Mom and pop stores still exist but something like Walmart would be state owned. So would Exxon, GM, Ford, and US Steel.
----------------- So, is this close to the Fox / corporate definition?

Here is the definition as printed by Miriam Webster: Definition of socialism 1 : any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods 2 a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property

You don't have to advocate for the textbook definition of socialism in order to advocate attempting to change our system of government to a more socialist like system.

It's called:

in·cre·men·tal·ism
/ˌiNGkrəˈmen(t)lˌizəm/
noun: incrementalism
belief in or advocacy of change by degrees; gradualism.

And we ain't buying what y'all be selling

Fox is selling it as Socialism but anyone who has help keeping their health insurance is grateful for it.
Would you rather lose your house?

It's Fox that's pouring the kool aid.

The Democrats are selling health care. There are so many reasons why Obama Care should survive. Do you really want your children to lose coverage on graduation day? Do you want to lose coverage for a heart attack because of some made up reason? Then you fight them for years and die while your suit is making its way through the courts.

Hang on -- the OP clearly said an 'affiliate' -- which is a local station.

The local stations are owned by different people.

NBC affiliates aren't owned all by the same person.

Here in my community the local Fox channel and the local ABC channel are owned by Sinclair broadcasting.

Sinclair owns or operates 59 Fox affiliates, 41 ABC affiliates, 30 CBS affiliates, 25 NBC affiliates, nine Univision affiliates and others, and it also has its own network, Comet.

So it depends on the ownership of the affiliate.....

Yes, and Sanders is skating closer to it.

Sanders, “[C]apital ownership no longer takes the form of an individual business owner presiding over an empire, but instead takes the form of affluent families owning diversified portfolios of real estate and financial assets like stocks and bonds. The socialization of those assets into funds owned and controlled by workers or society would thus provide a relatively simple glide path into a kind of market socialism."

His goal is that production is eventually purchased bybthe workers, which is not socialism; however, when workers scoff at having their pay taken to do this, it's just a tiny leap that the government take it in everyone's "best interest".

People like Bernie know that America isn't comfortable at all with socialism or its faternal twin communism, but by getting people to accept cousin "fairness", it's in the family and within grasp.

Bernie wants socialism, but he knows he can't say it.

When a pack of jackals attack a flock of sheep, that's socialism.

When the two groups "vote" on what to have for dinner first, that's "democratic" socialism.

What TV station? Local stations are owned by several different corporations. It may be a CBS affiliate, but it's not CBS News. Same with local news on Fox affiliates.

You can go to their website and find out wh owns them. Sounds like Sinclair to me
