Absolutely true. But what does that have to do with manufacturing jobs? I mean, sure, they can go get a job at Walmart, but I think that will be little consolation.

We have built a training facility here in the Low Country to train manufacture workers because there aren't enough skilled workers for the manufacturing jobs.

Maybe those folks need to pack up and move where the jobs are.

FTR, Jan 2009-Jan 2017, manufacturing lost 1.5% of its positions.

Jan 2017 to present, manufacturing jobs up 3.8%.

Sounds like cronyism. Why doesn't everyone get a tax break?

At least they are admitting taxation negatively impacts an economy.
Fun fact: politicians don't/cant create anything without destroying something else.

Ah, good one.

We've went from "you will be tired of winning" to "well, it's bad but it might be worse with someone else"....

That's not exactly a winning campaign slogan but I think Trump is gonna go with it.

Dems don't want to reverse it--why go backwards? New technology and renewable energy would bring new jobs. Who tries to get anywhere in reverse? This is a Trump thing.

It would seem that asa whole Trumps numbers are better. Not that he did much to fuel that, but then neither did Obama. They both just like to take credit for the work of the private sector.
Uh, that is actually a decently-populated state. There are various countries with a lot less people!
