To begin with, Trump keeps saying how America has become energy independent. We don't need middle eastern oil. If that is true why are gas prices going up?

Next, Saudi is filthy rich and has bought every state of the art military gun, weapons system, airplane and boat money can buy. They should be more than capable of taking care of themselves.

Seconded. The message management hasn't been great, but I applaud the reluctance to go to war.

Obvious??

Keep in mind that Trump has never really displayed trust or respect to the US intelligence service. I like that much about him because I don’t trust them either. Thus, he might not be showing constraint....but rather skepticism.

Correct. Trump runs his mouth and makes threats but he really is not a man of war.

You wanted a non interventionist foreign policy? This is what it looks like. You can call it weakness if you want. Any president can exercise restrain when nothing is going on.

Trump has been far more of a pacifist than any other president in the past 20 years

Trump talks loudly and carries a small stick.

Trump created this mess by pulling out of the Iranian deal then added to it by his inane bluster and chaos diplomacy. Only dull Trumpers would reward him with any praise by his "showing restraint' in matters he made far worse.

Too bad the "Iranian deal" was never ratified by, or even presented for ratification to, the US Senate. BO's pen was not enough to get the US entangled into the "deal".

Just like BO's other "phone and pen" deals (DACA, the Paris Climate Treaty, etc.), Mr Trump is under no obligation to adhere to any of them.

Yup, just as Warren will be able to tear up any deals Trump makes.
