So he's complaining that a minimum-wage worker can't afford a decent two-bedroom apartment? Why would anyone expect they could? When I graduated from college, I couldn't even afford a one-bedroom! My choice was a studio with a little kitchenette or rent a room with a group of girls. And I didn't complain about it.
Why should an unskilled worker with no education beyond high school deserve to live better than a college graduate doing an entry-level,professional job?

What kind of weird question from a liberal is that? My life was worth millions of dollars - to me.
HOWEVER, I realized that as a newbie college grad, I didn't offer my employer enough value to afford anything other than a studio....TO START WITH. As my experience and capabilities grew, and I offered more value to my employer, I could afford a one-bedroom. Then my skills increased even more, and I bought a condo. Then my managerial and project planning capabilities grew, and I took on my responsibilities, thereby earning a higher salary and buying a larger property. And finally, I had fine-tuned my skills to such a degree that I took the risk to form my own business, and when it grew, I was able to afford a really great home.
If minimum wage workers, those with job skills a 9th grader could do, want to be able to afford a nice 2-bedroom apartment, they have to offer enough value to an employer to make that a reality. Flipping burgers or straightening the shelves at Target aren't sufficient. Sorry. If they want to earn more, they need to enroll in community college or a vocational program (which Pell Grants will pay for) and better their situation.
They built these years ago and called them "The Projects" and other various names.
Most were crime infested and have been torn down over the last 40 years.
Depends when. In the 50s and 60s, NY housing projects were occupied by elderly WWI veterans, many Jewish and Italian. Beginning in the 70s, they started to become crime-infested, and now....they're impossible.

So in the 50s and 60s they were Jewish and Italian occupied and then were crime infested. I assume you are saying that many of the criminals were jewish and italian.

I really don't no why people get all upset about what the current President or the next President wants to do? It has got to pass Congress and then a possible Supreme Court challenge. Presently, I would be more concerned with our current President's mental health and Constitutionality of some of his affairs. Did HE make or attempt to make a "treaty" with Ukranine? Did He intend to let Congress know about it?
