Why would Iran worry? They're still taking the shrink wrap off the 1.5 B Obama sent to them.

Just kill them all over there and no more worry.

Yes, NK would be wiped off the map but their strategy is a MAD one - they will take down certainly a good part of Seoul but also parts of Japan with them.
SK, Japan, will rebuild just fine no matter what, they are not vulnerable to anything. Some deaths and damage is not a death blow to either country. SK alone could wipe NK off the map.

Iran has about zero ability to project power beyond its border, so those countries are not vulnerable at all. A few missiles, whatever strikes is not a death blow. The area and global economy has been just fine despite the conflicts there, if not have thrived when there is conflict in the region.

But really, this is their problem, the US needs to stay out and just leave the damn place all together. No more blood for oil, no more 20 year old soldiers getting killed, billions in tax dollars spent, so the billionaire Saudi dictators and oil corporate execs can have their money flow freely without issue. Oh yea, so they can start BS with Iran because of their 1000 year old religious conflict.

Of course Trump is a good zionist like every US president so odds are he'll mire the US in another unwinnable and illegal war.

And Trump replaced Bolton with a like minded war hawk minus the moustache. Trump is the new swamp.
Good post but there's more to the story.

Saudi Arabia is a BIG problem over there. The reigning prince or king or whatever he calls himself has dug his country into a huge hole financially. Buying weapons, bad investments in wars like Syria and Yemen has made him very unpopular among his piers. I saw a video of him recently and something struck me. This guy was on his way to a government function walking down a hallway. Surrounded by body guards and he himself had to be wearing a large bullet proof vest that was 6 inchs thick.

This guy is not popular or well liked. He's not competent, he and his people are indecisive and when they do make a decision its usually a wreckless one.

These last 10 years have drained to coffers of Saudi Arabia. Low oil prices, bad management in spending has them looking for a way out. So the prince and his people decided to sell Aramco stock on the world market. basically give up ownership of the company.

Iran has an interest in messing with the Saudis. It wants the slaughter in Yemen to stop. It's not a surprise that this attack was sponsored by Iran now. Who wants to buy stock in Aramco when the facilities of the company cannot be defended and are vulnerable to destruction?

Iran is trying to stop the war in Yemen and Syria by striking at the Saudis indirectly. It's a smart strategy. Unless oil hits $100 a barrel again the Saudis are in trouble.

Nobody likes a prince when he is spending too much time down by the docks.

The blame for that can be laid more on Big Business that bribe politicians on both sides of the aisle.
The same ones have been pushing politicians to sell nuclear tech to Saudi Arabia.

It would be a nightmare to let the Saudi's have any Nuclear Tech since they are the biggest terrorists in the world, spreading their filthy terrorist propaganda across the world in mosques all over.

This is not about human rights or security. The US wants to change the authoritarian regime for another brutal one, but in favor of US interest: that is allow corporations like Apple, etc to sell their overpriced toys there. But more important, to introduce foreign investors in all areas of their economy.

The military threats and security narrative are nothing but the facade sold to the public.

Regime change didn't work in Iraq, all it did (besides killing millions of people) was that they allied with Iran to oppose US imperialism. I don't think the US will try to do it, it's a lost cause, especially since they have China and Russian backing them up.

The end game is just to weaken Iran.
It has always been about overthrowing leaders in other countries not friendly to western interests and putting in puppets that are.
If the leaders are Democratically elected, but not friendly to western interests, they need to go.

Spreading Freedom and Democracy was a propaganda line by the state department that no longer works since more people are awake and see what is really going on.

They say MBS was put in place to clean house.
The problem is, every Saudi leader cleans house for anyone that criticizes their rule.
It is business as usual in other words.

Speak against their rule and it is off with your head.
