As I stated above, the Republican Party (it is no longer 'grand') has changed. So yeah, you could be right, the bar for acceptability as a Republican is pretty low now.
The country has moved sharply left over the past 60 years. If you look at the platform of JFK and the Democrats at that time they would be to the right of the current GOP or about the same.
Regarding social programs. They get entrenched and people become dependent on them. If you think that is good, so be it. The great society has failed in its pledge to end poverty. Social Security is not enough for most to solely live on.
And Trump is showing he will retaliate against people who have the goods on his actions...

So, it's OK to publish the names of American citizens who make lawful campaign donations to Trump, but you don't think we should know who is making false claims about the President based on hearsay.
