Both the phone conversation and the whistleblower complaint will be approved by DOJ AG William Barr. We all agree on that.
So the whistleblower blower himself testifying before the House Committee is VITAL to American security. Trump and Barr can draft, edit, redact whatever they choose before its released.
The one thing they can't control is the testimony of a neutral, apolitical whistleblower or IG Director.

I don't even care if we lose the election at this point. Now the Dems have the Constitution behind them, and if nothing else, can legally get what they need to prove how complicit Trump has been in scamming this country. I don't care if it's popular or not. This will allow it all to come out, and then the Senate will have to be held to account if they go along with his lawlessness. It's going to come to a formal Senate hearing and I want to see Mitch McConnell dare to abandon the rule of law, which he could do. But then how will that look to the public who will be watching? There is too much now, with this latest charade of Trump's and his even admitting that he courted the Ukraine to find dirt on Biden. It's illegal to do that. Now, to see if any of the Republicans care.

What kind of nincompoop thinks that denying something for days, then walking it back, then admitting it happened, then saying he'll release a transcript thinks that's "getting ahead" of anything.
Getting ahead of something would have been releasing it right off the bat, and squelching any doubt, period.
