I would have guessed Asia to be the fastest growing. Anyway, Africa has a lot of natural resources, perhaps they can handle it? I do think the world is a bit over populated, but people get a little touchy about that subject.
Since when has any African nation been able to "handle" its political problems?

The Congo has some of the richest elements on earth. Sadly the constant fighting in that region is still not over yet. If the situation in the Congo dies down. The region rich sources can be exploited for profits.
The African continent is home to the nations with the lowest collective IQs in the world and most of the African states are in a constant state of warfare.
Malnutrition, suboptimal healthcare, and constant stress due to warfare and instability will all lower intellectual potential. It's not a genetic issue like some may claim.
Just look at Nigerian immigrants in western nations. Their success blows everyone else right out of the water, even Asians.
This will be half of the approximately 2.4 billion added. Many of them will migrate to first world countries. How come this is not discussed as part of climate issues?
Why would it be discussed?
Societies that are highly Affluent have zero or negative birth rates, while societies that are not Affluent have high birth rates. All other societies fall in-between.
I have been saying this for years... this is the consequences of Climate Change... Hundreds of Millions of Africans, Asians and South Americans can't live or grow crops where they are now and their numbers will grow to 4 Billion in Africa and 5 Billion in Asia.
They will have to move furter north, to a more temperate climate. North America and Northern Europe.
Rightwingers won't pay taxes now, to decarbonize and stop the worst outcomes... so their grandchildren will pay by becoming white minorities in their own countries.
Or, maybe they expect their grandchildren to go full Nazi and just let hundreds of millions die of climate change, because THIS generation just didn't care.

Please do not give the kooks any ideas, as population control is certainly in the mind of some of them.
All they need is a communist regime to carry out such things, with China being a prime example in recent history.
Give the kooks control, and they will attempt to completely control everyone's lives to the most minute detail, all in the name of saving the planet.
Exactly the way it was in the Antiquity, when the Persians, Egyptians, Sumerians dominated southern Europe and Asia. They made the mistake of giving civilization to the Romans, who allowed themselves to be invaded by the Germanic barbarians and look at what the world eventually became !
All empires fall. Rome lasted a long time, the eastern half lasted another thousand years after the western half fell to the barbarians.
And European civilizations oversaw the industrial and technological revolutions that gave us the quality of life we enjoy today!

There are exceptions. Educated Nigerians have done well in the west, and test higher on IQ than most sub Saharan Africans. As my buddy in South Africa used to say "Those are the clever Africans"
I dont mind limited legal immigration from Africa, as long as the immigrants assimilate, have a high desire to pull their own weight, and dont all congregate in the same concentrated areas. No Islamists, African nationalists, or socialists need apply.

If the US annexed everything from the tippy top of Canadia to the pinky toe of Argentina we would create a country with 1.2 Billion people giving us the third largest population and the second largest contiguous land mass under one policy / administration.
(Comm bloc might be bigger)
If there are no borders to prevent the americas reunification and the peoples will to stop it is not there and the population wants it.... then I think we would be remiss in our duty as 'Spreaders Of Democracy' not to do it.
It would save everybody involved a lot on duplicated administration alone.
Then, and only then, should we purchase Greenland, then get involved in sorting out Africa.
Well....that would be one sure way of getting conservatives on board with climate change...if nothing else. The fear of more Africans.
