He is also a citizen of the US, and owes allegiance to the US.

He also lives in NY state.

Having dual US-something else citizenship AND living in the US does not make you a "foreigner."

I think the question everyone should be asking is:
Should it be made legal to do so?

If Trump gets to remain in office after this, then what is the point in keeping this behaviour illegal? Might as well legalise it.

Is asking for election assistance from a foreign entity legal?

The solicitation of a foreign national or government to help a campaign IS a crime. All you have to do is ASK and it is a crime. The law is that foreign nationals are not allowed to participate in our elections and that includes campaigns.

For impeachment no quid pro quo is required. This kind of corruption that sullies the interest of the United States based on the President's own political campaign is a classic high crime and misdemeanor and exactly the kind of abuse of office that the framers had in mind when they gave the House the power to impeach and the Senate the power to remove.

The only question is, are there going to be 20 Republican Senators who are concerned enough about national security to do the right thing for this country?

Trump is terrified of him. Will do anything....illegal, immoral, unethical to try to influence the election.
What he has done is criminal. He needs to be impeached.

Exactly.

Anyone who voted that it was okay to do this, are the ones who feel it would be okay if Trump went out and killed someone, or Trump was above the law, and should be declared King and dictator.

It's already perfectly legal, as this thread has demonstrated.

Investigated by (possibly) corrupt people in a corrupt country.

She's a stupid political hack. The Mueller Report says she's wrong, just like Barr does.
