LOL! You're reading OLD results to maintain your illusion. Your own link says:

"American voters are divided over impeaching and removing President Trump from office 47 to 47%."

57% was last week's poll.

Here we go. The OP paid no attention to his own link:

From his link:
Quote:
American voters are divided over impeaching and removing President Trump from office 47 to 47%, but the gap has narrowed dramatically from a survey taken just last week following the release of a whistleblower’s report, a poll out Monday shows.

A Quinnipiac University Poll issued last Wednesday found 57% of voters believe Trump should not be impeached and 37% say he should be.
What next? Will you be touting year-old polls?

Trump is unable to grow his base.

He never pivoted, his message remains the same. He is not reaching out to the middle and he remains personally repulsive.

Just because they don't believe he should be impeached doesn't mean they support him. One does not necessarily follow the other. They may think that it's a waste of time and resources that would be better spent making sure he's not reelected.

The polling firm previously found voters opposed to impeachment and removal, 57 percent to 37 percent, in a poll released Sept. 25. The shift is largely driven by increased support of impeachment among Democrats, who support it 90 percent to 5 percent in the newest poll, up from 73 percent to 21 percent last week." link.

Take or leave Trump. He is what he is, like it or not. However, people cannot honestly say they cannot see what's going on with Democrats. They have not accepted Trump won in 2016. Since that time, all they've cared about is discrediting him, and trying anything to remove him from office. When the Mueller report fizzled out, it became obstruction. That flamed out, then it was the current scandal, or lack thereof. Democrats rail against Trump for allegedly using the influence of his office to pressure Ukraine. The transcripts have been released, and it just isn't there. The same Democrats do not want Biden's meddling in Ukraine while VP, to get the prosecutor going after his son fired to be looked at though. He has bragged on video of withholding aid to pressure them into firing the prosecutor.

As recently as November 2016, a long list of Democrats, led by HRC herself, were deeply concerned that Trump's refusal to accept the election results would constitute a grave threat to our country. Since that time, all the DNC has done is contest the results of the election, brand Trump as an illegitimate president, and try to undo the results of a free election.
