I asked them if they would want to be responsible for a kid who took his or her life. A kid they knew committed suicide so this was a topic we openly discussed.

Some parents are so grateful it's not their kid being targeted they remain silent. That's wrong.
My 11-year-old loves playing Fortnight (spelling may be off here, lol).

He was all upset one night because someone "scammed" him and stole all his gear. I had to explain to him how there are just selfish and mean that take away the fun of other players.

A few weeks later, I hear him talking to another player about trying to scam someone.

I have him turn off the game to talk to him about it.

He claimed they were trying to target another scammer. I tried explaining how it's best just to ignore scammers, how two wrongs don't make a right, mistaken identity, etc but it just wouldn't sink in.

After failing to reason with him, I just threatened to take away his game if I hear him talking about doing it again.

It's easy to try to enforce behavior when you are able to observe it, but much more difficult when there is no way of knowing.

You'd think he'd be able to understand why he shouldn't do something after experiencing it himself, but that mush between his ears still needs more time to bake.

Fair point.

LGBTQAKDJBGKADJGKAD = <3% of total population

Suicide rates are historically high. TG suicide rates ate 40%.

All suicides are from MENTAL ILLNESS.

I read in that post that kids have been bullied for a wide range of reasons forever, which is true, and a fair point.

You totally missed my point. Kids get bullied for a plethora of reasons of which one could be sexual orientation. It is no different from being bullied for the other things. Also, as newtovenice said it LGBTQxyz comprises less than 3% of the population. They're not "special".

And it can be cured with a little prayer and therapy, right?

Thank you for your very confusing, and misleading tutorial.
