The left will make excuses for or avoid talking about AOC. What they don't do is come out and condemn her nonsense. Why would or should we ever facilitate illegals? The left will say no democrats are for open borders and yet here we have one that wants to facilitate and make life easier for illegals who have no right to even be in the country. She wants we the people to foot the bill even more than we already do. Where is that famous democrat compassion for our homeless. That is something none of these new age democrats talk about.

AOC is just another confused liberal. She refers to illegal aliens as plain ole "immigrants". They don't contribute to our society or economy they take from it.

Welfare for illegal aliens? They already get it through fraud and their anchor babies. I guess she just wants to expand it and to make it official now.

I actually think state wide or city wide rent control in California and NYC would be a good thing. I think it is outrageous that you can have a good university degree like an engineering degree and still not be able to afford rent in NYC and California. If anything housing should be considered a human right for everybody in this country before anything else. Without housing, you can basically do nothing. This hypercapitalistic system in this country where only the rich can afford housing and deserve housing is not fair or moral IMO. We need radical solutions in this country. But I don't agree with AOC on giving welfare to illegals.
They have the right to move somewhere they can afford.

I fail to see what makes someone special just because they wish to reside in absurdly high COL areas without the means to afford it.
Life is how you make it. If you can't make enough money to have a nice house or apartment in a blue state, then move to a Red State where the cost of living is much lower. There rent on a 3 bedroom house with central heating and air with two car garage can be found for around $900 to 1200 a month. Nice 1 bedroom apartments for not over $600. In other words, do your own rent cost control.
AOC wants NATIONAL rent control...so like here rent for a 1 bedroom basement apartment is over 1800/month.....….so what is her proposed NATIONAL rate

I totally agree with your post. Both republican and democratic parties are not for the American people. If republicans are going to sit on their behinds while wages remain stagnant, the price of healthcare keeps going up, housing remain expensive, university tuition remains too high etc, then maybe the desperate financially strapped American will have no choice but to vote for the big government democrats. At least the democrats pretend to care about issues like the high cost of housing and healthcare etc. democrats and republicans really don't care for the average American.

I've never met a person or heard anyone not a troll on the forums claim to want open borders with all the social welfare benefits available to anyone who comes to the USA. I don't know if there can even be a more "progressive" position that doesn't involve the genocide of American citizens.
