Why aren't they voting on this?

Because if they voted on it, they would have to make it a more fair and open process and there's no way Pelosi wants that. Without a vote she can continue the unofficial official inquiry that she can have complete control over.

It's not going to be put to a vote.

This impeachment travesty is nothing but a scam.

Because there’s nothing there. And I suppose if passed, it would give Republicans subpoena power, too; something Democrats might not want.

Because investigations don't have to put up for a vote.

Why not ask the same about all the Wars and everything else?

Actual Impeachment probably needs a vote. But not investigations. Yeah, I know, you want to discredit it. But it won't work......because there is a there there and everyone knows it. You do too. You just don't want to hold a crook responsible for his actions.

Simply because they don't have to. It would require extra steps and there is no law that says they have to.

Yet every single time there has been an official impeachment inquiry of a president there has been a vote authorizing it. If they didn't really need one, why has it literally always happened?

Yeah, I'm wondering this, too.

I'm sure the dems are confident enough they have enough votes...

I have no idea how old you are, but one thing you should learn about politics is that it usually moves slowly. I remember being amazed at Trump's ignorance when he believed that the Mueller investigation was going to end by Christmas.

This will move even more slowly since Trump, presumably because he's starting to realize what trouble he's in, is doing everything possible to obstruct.
