We live in a country where Kylie Jenner just made 150mil or so last year for being "famous" and branding.
So, after letting that soak in could the problem actually be that the majority of people in the US are just dumb***s and that corporations, whether they're selling news, $90 shirts or cars etc, are targeting us with this garbage to make a buck?
I don't need to see any CIA lurking in the background, occams razor and all kinds of corporate ad campaigns etc. tell me that the only thing nefarious here are companies needing to grind out ratings like a new hit song in order to me quarterly net of tax profit guidelines.
CIA's smarter than that. If they want to create a distraction all they have to do is throw some raw meat to the corporate media in whatever direction and stand back.
I do find it funny that I listened to Zucker cry about Fox News when ABC got caught red handed doctoring a gun range video from KY and called it a "fire fight" in Syria.
How was the video doctored? And what point do you think ABC was trying to make?
I agree. While they're taking it to an extreme (to garner clicks and $$$) are they any different than CNN or FOX or any of the others?
They're just fishing further to the right, or if you want to go check out motherjones etc. you can fish to the left.
The bottom line remains that FOR PROFIT companies are crafting stories with some truth-bending in order to draw attention and thus money. Some are more towards the center (like FOX and CNN) some are wayyyy the heck out there.
All about the $$$$.
Some may generally believe in what they do, some are clearly nuts lol.
