Good to see traditional family values still big in first world asia. The tax system benefits housewives, even ones with part time jobs, bynot taxing them if they make below a million a year.
So what? Didn't you do the math? That's not a good deal, that's terribly demeaning and insulting. It's a slap in the face to both working women and stay at home housewives in Japan. One million Japanese yen is the equivalent of only $9,189.00 in United States dollars .... by North American standards that's like somebody trying to support their self on earnings of $765.75 a month. Even people on welfare in USA, Canada, UK, Australia, other 1st world countries are given more money that that + benefits, and it's free - no taxes. I would hope that an advanced 1st world nation with such a high cost of living like Japan would darned well better not be taxing anybody who earns even twice that amount let alone to draw the line at such a piddling amount of money as $9,189.00, regardless of if they're a housewife or not.
Yup. It remains to be seen if the Japanese single women will follow the American lead in becoming unmarried mothers.
In china, single mothers are deeply penalized.

.
I just said that any the housewives part time income isnt taxed up to a million yen. Japanese women also usually run the house hold finances, giving their husbands an allowance. Japanese women are notoriously frugal, many Japanese have 150,000$ in savings.
I lived in osaka a good life teaching making around 1.8 million yen a year.
Rent was around 700$
insurance was 100$
utilities was about 40$
my monthly train subway pass was 60$ but paid by school
unlimited internet 40$
I ate out every meal, alot of great ramen for 3$ a meal
my sushi lunch with miso soup 6$ ( nine pieces) at sushi masa
sapporo beer about 2.50
Nights out fixed price sushi, beer but could get expensive
amazing how much less stress with great mass transit. No huge car repair bills, 100$ + cell phone bills, cablebills over 125$. insane rents. Urban life is a ripoff in America

Then maybe those SJW liberal American feminists should move to Japan because of the idea that Japanese housewives could have more power than American Christian housewives.
I‘m a SAH parent and a feminist. It just means that I think men and women are equal. I think marriage is a true partnership and I have made sacrifices in my career for my husbands career. He makes so much more money than I did, and we moved countries several times. Of course, I handle all the finances and investments, so he can focus on other things. Being a feminist is not about misandry and being militant.
lol. True owl, cafes, maid cafes. They also have househusband cafes. The househusband numbers have risen in US
