California orders nursing homes to take COVID patients and leasing COVID hotels near retirement communities (drugs, health care system)

Nebraska isolates those with COVID on the empty University of Nebraska campus in empty dorms isolated from the public but close to Bryan Hospital in case they need to go back.

California intends to put those suffering with this pandemic adjacent to senior communities full of very elderly people who are very anxious about this and California intends to force them into nursing homes also and claiming they can't discriminate based on COVID status.

Looks like they are leasing a COVID hotel adjacent to one of the largest senior living communities in the country.

They also plan on relocating COVID patients into nursing homes because it is discrimination to discrminate based on COVID-19 status.

While California warehouses those who don't have hospital level severe symptoms in nursing homes and hotels adjacent to senior communities, Nebraska is isolating them on the University of Nebraska campus in the empty dorms in close proximity to Bryan hospital in case they need further hospital treatment.

That's about the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Yet of course it's the same morons that are letting violent criminals out of prison to reduce their risk of catching it. My suggestion would be to use part of the governor's mansion and the state capitol for Covid treatment.

It's outrageous that Newsome is sacrificing older people for the drug-addicted criminal transients, or for anyone.


The seniors affected are out protesting to stop Newsome and the State from forcing Covid positive transients to be their "neighbors." And, who, who has a brain, actually thinks the drug-addicted, drug-seeking transients will actually stay in their rooms? Only a fool would believe that. The druggie transients will be out roaming the seniors neighborhood/housing to steal their property to get money to get their drugs and next high.


Shame on you State of California and Newsome.

UPDATE, Monday, March 23: The California Department of Public Health released the COVID-19 Health Care System Mitigation Playbook, which noted that COVID-19 patients should not be sent to long-term care facilities without consulting the local health department.

The state also added that as it will be necessary to designate facilities as receiver sites for such patients, regional health care systems need to begin planning for “this community-level cohorting now.” CDPH additionally revised the All-Facilities letter discussed in this story to make changes to guidance regarding asymptomatic health care personnel.

Shame on your for knowingly misrepresenting the facts.

This is a state and federally funded program but the decision about where to locate the facilities are made by at the local level. In this case the Orange County Board of Supervisors (who were elected by Orange County voters) are making the decision.
