Being tolerant doesn't mean that you should accept everything.
In Holland we have a pretty tolerant freedom of speech, but we do not tolerate insults and hatemongering.

I do not care what adults choose to do. If they want to marry 3 wives, I don't care. I don't think it ought to be illegal. But this is not about that. It is about the abuse of children, old men "marrying" girls under the legal age and people being held against their will in a compound that looks like a prison with guard towers and such (why does Texas attract all these nutcases?). That is against the laws of Texas and the laws of the United States and the law applies to even religious nutcases.

Yeah, polygamy being legal wouldn't bother me that much but raising kids in throwback indoctrination camps and marrying + impregnating them before they're adults does.

If you do not "tolerate" insults and "hate mongering" then, you DO NOT tolerate free speech

You tolerate "filtered" speech. Or, "Limited" speech

Marriage is to be between one man and one woman.

If a man, or woman, choose to bring another into their home, that is their choice.

But, there is no "Marriage"

I agree. That's why I was skeptic about a much touted marriage amendment that defined marriage as "between a man and a woman" instead of one man and one woman.

When I saw this thread, I was going to post something very similar to what you've said, and then I noticed that you summed it up. I completely agree.

Oh, certainly. It began when interracial marriages became acceptable--that opened the door, and we've been riding the slippery slope as a result. Recognition for even more immoral behavior has been sought ever since.
