Would be a dream if she ran for President of the United States. She is an absolutely brilliant person. The amazing people of South Dakota must be so proud.

"She said I took an oath to the constitution".

Love her quote "herd mentality is not leadership" priceless.
Unlike Cuomo and Newsom who violate the ten commandments, the law and think the constitution is a just a piece of paper, Noem actually is guided by the sacred constitution.

I just looked at the numbers:
6.1% South Dakota jobs lost during this pandemic, compared to 17.3% in California, 23.1% in Pennsylvania, 23.8% in Rhode Island, 23.9% in Michigan, 18.3% in New Jersey.

She set aside 2,500 beds for COVID patients, but only 63 are occuped for a rate of 2.6%.

I wonder what the occupancy rate for beds is in Queens or the Bronx? They were bursting at the seems and treating people in inappropriately small spaces

I just watched her interview with Laura Ingraham. She is absolutely terrific!! I, too, see her as an outstanding Presidential candidate and, given the way Trump is crashing and burning, I'd love to see that happen this year!!

Trump is gonna lose and deserve to. We need Kristi!

You know I have been one of the strongest Trump supporters here for going on 5 years now. But he has lost his mind. His angry public chew-out of Governor Kemp that I watched this afternoon was the last straw. He must think most his support comes from Rachel Maddow viewers or somethin'. He's going down in flames and doesn't even realize it or have any idea how or why that could ever happen.

I couldn't care less what that loser Romney thinks about anything. But Trump has severed his ties with the people and is toast.

Me, I'm sticking with the Northern Mariana Islands. There are only 14 cases of coronavirus there and only 2 deaths so far.

TWO more patients have recovered from Covid-19 and have been released from Kanoa Resort, the designated quarantine site, Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. Chief Executive Officer Esther Muna said on Wednesday.

There are now 11 individuals who have recovered from Covid-19 in the CNMI, she added.

The first nine patients who recovered were released from Kanoa Resort on April 15.

As of April 22, Wednesday, CHCC had released a total of 237 persons from Kanoa Resort and the other quarantine site, the Pacific Islands Club.

Meanwhile, Gov. Ralph DLG Torres said the CNMI has secured personal protective equipment, gowns, sanitizers, ventilators and other products needed by the Covid-19 front-liners. More shipments will arrive next week, he added.

The Northern Marianas definitely know how to put on a good show, too. No dumpy hospital beds for their residents - instead they convalesce in style at either the Kanoa Resort or the Pacific Islands Club. And there have been no job losses what-so-ever!

That Gov. Ralph DLG Torres certainly gets my vote in 2020 even if he is a republican. He obviously knows what he's doing far better than that foolish Governor of S. Dakota. S. Dakota is a basket case by comparison. Go Torres!

"Lowest percentage job loss during COVID, 3% of beds for COVID patients occupied"

So far.

Now I devoutly hope that SD is able to maintain those stats. But this thing isn't nearly over.

First of all, the ten commandments have nothing to do with our constitution. Not even close. So to say a governor violated the commandments is absurd. They don't take an oath of office to uphold the ten commandments. And SD has a population of under a million compared to NY whose population is over 8 million. California has a population of over 39 million. So yeah, the job loss numbers would be lower in SD.

https://www.argusleader.com/story/ne...292002Although the claims decreased last week, Noem is expecting a surge of claims beginning next week when self-employed workers, gig workers and independent contractors, who typically don't qualify for unemployment insurance, can begin applying for it in South Dakota.

She managed to operate her state in a manner that resulted in the lowest Covid-19 death rate of any state in the continental US. All while NOT destroying her state's economy. 9 deaths per million population. Quite a difference from Andy Cuomo's handling of NY-with 1085. A factor of greater than 100 times more...
