Its no inaccurate.

Like I said, minority in that context means minority race group in the nation. They are meant to help people who would otherwise be discriminated against.

amc, he's just trolling to get people to agree with his racist comments.

If he bothered to read any of my links, he would see that minority and low-income loans are from the same money.

Ah, yes dropping the "r" word, the defense of mentally lazy people everywhere. How cheap and petty of you. You have never met me, don't know my ethnicity but since my op didn't lineup with your ideology you've branded me a racist. Clown.

we dont see civil rights law being applied for property issues much by whites. if it is its usually referred to as reverse discrimination. civil rights law for the most part an attempt to right a past injustice or practice.

This is an absurd term ala "reverse racism". It presupposes that only one group of people are capable of perpetuating said behavior. Besides reverse means along the lines of backing up or away. Just silly. Not calling you out mind you, just the awful phrasing that has become acceptable.

Loans, however are not "civil rights" be it from a micro loan, sba loan or what have you. Anything based only on race is bad.

The City of Chicago has a program that helps whites and insures that their home values wil never drop if any blacks move in. If a black moves in and their values drop when they sell, the city pays the difference. People used to call it "Negro Insurance" but hopefully they have moved beyond that there now! The city however does not have a program that will insure black owners from dropping values if white trash moves in.

I'm too lazy to read your link but if this is true, it's insane. Nothing should ever be based on race ever. Two days ago I had a ct mylogram done at the hospital and when they were admitting me they had to ask a bunch of questions. The nurse asked me my race and I responded, "human" she looked at me with an equal mixture of incredulity and humor and I responded, "I'm sorry, I just hate these type of questions". She nodded in agreement but said it was s.o.p and I begrudgingly complied.

Huck, there is no such terminology as reverse discrimination; it is simply referred to as discrimination in any reference.

The links I provided indicate minorities and low-income people. That covers all people who meet the criteria no matter what race they are.

The answer is no. Minority refers to "historically disadvantaged individuals" not technically a minority.

You also can't get certain scholarships if you are Asian. Because although you are a minority, you are not in a historically disadvantaged group (which the school is trying to increase the presence of).

Fair or not, that's the way it is. Some schools are thinking about changing the language, actually.
