Magnulus I don't believe in anarchy.Like I said there are some things I think best left to government but better at a local level in many cases.
You are right though,I don't believe in Democracy except for elections.Democracy is mob rules, sort of a anarchy itself.Just because something is popular or a majority wants it it doesn't make it right. That's why we have a Constitution limiting a elected majority from doing whatever it wants.
If you think that's outdated then I shake my head.No authortian government for me no thankyou.I don't want you controlling me,I don't want to control you and most of all I don't want politician elites controlling all of us.
Sorta of that we should all hang together or we will all hang seperately by a rope idea you know.
The industrial revolution, the most laissez-faire time in our history, saw a lot of marketing? To think I was under the impression we made a whole lot of neat stuff that improved peoples' lives without government interfering with progress.
The industrial revolution also had alot of phossy jaw and kids being smashed in textile looms in the name of enriching the wealthy. That industrial revolution had alot of hardships for people, alot of poverty, disease, injury, and death, until social groups like labor unions and the Salvation Army stepped in and demanded reforms to bring the markets under regulation by the state to better serve society as a whole, based on democracy and not plutocracy.

Also, the Constitution mentions the word "democracy"? I missed that one. But, then again by your definition of the old fashioned nitwits who wrote it, it's out of touch with modern society.
So there you go. You admit you hate democracy. I told you that's what libertarians really believe.

So, if you believe in democracy and it's not in the Constitution, you admit you hate the Constitution.

I talked about Democracy in my last reply. It's like the quote from the movie "The Patriot" where Mel Gibson said "why should I trade one tyrant that is 4000 miles away for 4000 tyrants 1 mile away?"
That's what pure Democracy is,mob rules.Majority rule will often walk over minority and individual rights.Tis the reason for the Constitution to limit this.

Not only that, but a Democracy always votes based on what it wants. Given an American Idol and NASCAR society like ours, what the people want is pretty much what the media and populists spoon feed them.
With the free availability of knowledge nowadays, there should be no reason why voting can't be limited to folks who are qualified. Just as an example, if they can't find Iraq on a map, why should they be allowed to vote on a candidate who promises to pull them out or leave them in?
Thus, we gravitate towards socialism and eventually bondage.
I can't speak for Libertarians, I myself am a Republican (RON PAUL!), but it seems they are in favor of a Republic...
The labor unions took a page out of the socialist playbook...most of the union leaders were ardent socialists.
When Ben Franklin was asked, "what kind of government would you have us make then?"
Ben: "A Republic, if you can keep it"
