It was conservatives like Charleton Heston and others who were demanding that the unions open up to blacks, so that talented black set-designers, special effects designers, screen-writers and actors could participate and be both recognized appreciated for their efforts and contributions, not liberals.

It was conservatives, both Republican and southern Democrat conservatives who were introducing civil rights legislation, not liberal Democrats.

It's unfortunate that the conservative Republicans and southern Democrats did not out-number the liberals in Congress. There would have been a WPA instead of the current useless welfare system, but then why would liberals want a black man to be empowered with skills and experience, ultimately owning his own business?

No, societies were formed for security reasons. The plains people allied with the fishing people because the hill people kept raiding and stealing the resources of both. Only by uniting could they defeat the hill people.

Doesn't get any simpler than that.
If that's the case, then conservatives take what was never theirs in the first place.

For example, since when has it been government's responsibility to look after my ever-lasting soul?

I am a Liberal (and damned proud of it) that strongly supports individual freedom and equal opportunity with in a socialist economy. I also deeply resent some conservative telling me "What Liberals Think". Most conservatives are so tied up with their greed and insecurity to know what they think let alone what I think.

When did the belief that it's not OK to launch unjustified, "pre-emptive" wars against sovereign nations that never did anything to us become "isolationism"????
