So now I have to ask: Why isn't this subject talked about more? Sure, it's easy to discuss on an anonymous board, but how about in real life? I think that's part of the problem. Is it still such a taboo topic? Even with all the headlines lately? Do we worry that if we are outspoken about it that people we know will assume we are only in favor of legalizing it because we want to participate...or what?
What do you all think?
I don't know why it is not talked about more in the open, I have discussed it with friends and family and I don't understand why it has not been legalized everywhere it is not going away and it could save lives or STD's if it were more controlled.
Simply because being a prostitute or visiting prostitutes is un-Christian behaviour?
And because image still is king in America, or rather the belief that perception is reality?
Not really...see above. Men pay for sex...no matter what. What's a diamond ring? Providing shelter for someone else? Providing food for someone else? It's an outlay of money...resources that COULD go to one's self instead. Have to get something in return.
