Why shouldn't the ambitions of a career woman be honored? We honor the choices of career men, are women no different? It's this kind of cave man misogyny that trivializes the desires of independent women, that is at the core of the right wing in this country.

Nothing wrong with a career woman. I embrace it. Sacrificing your personal life is one thing. Aborting a fetus in order to be best situated for the next promotion is another.

If I don't take a class and someone gets killed as a result, I go to jail for years.

If a woman aborts a fetus without an ultrasound, she gets a fine but can promptly leave the clinic and meet her dinner date.

the cognotive dissonance displayed by the left wingers in this thread may very well justify the evils of abortion.

I think it's perfectly legitimate. Since we have limits on how "far along" an abortion can be performed, it's relevant to determine how "far along" the fetus is, to avoid guesswork and unnecessary pain and suffering for the infant.

I'm against late-term abortions to begin with, and am strongly against pain and fear for babies especially once they're viable. So in my opinion, I'm firmly against giving any "slack" to allow abortion to be performed later than is absolutely required by law.

Would you want to have dental work done without an xray? How about a root canal? Would you want your dentist to go in their blind? If so, then you are a fool whether your insurance pays for it or not.
If the dentist cant fill my tooth without expensive x ray, then id find another dentist. A root canal, as long as they gave me pain killers. I had 2 kids, 0 ultrasounds. I think it is in most cases, unnecessary.

What's funny about pro-choicers who tend to be Democratic, ergo supposedly believe in democracy, conveniently do not support democracy when it comes to the majority of Oklahoma residents approving of such a measure, or at the very least a majority of voters freely elected officials to represent their beliefs.

Liberal = tolerant, except when you disagree. Even if "you" is the majority

But a woman's unborned baby and her career aren't any of your business. But once the baby is borned it's surely much easier to feel that the baby is none of your business.
