No nation or organisation will deal with Sudan UNTIL the Chinese gov't. agrees to allow it.

True, I'm just not interested in Pinochet.

I'm not trying to turn this into an anti-American foreign policy schpiel, but there are similarities to this and China's actions in Africa. However, rather than install military dictators and junta regimes, China continues to pour money into places like Sudan which already have those sort of systems in place.
So?
The EU also sends boatloads of money to Africa. But I agree that the difference between China and Europe might be that Europe (or at least the Netherlands) wants to see how the money is spent. The moment we notice that a country is violating human rights we turn off the money pipe.
I guess we could assume that China just sends money with no strings attached; because China wants to guarantee that they will get their copper (or whatever else it is they need).
The EU stops the money train as soon as they suspect something foul and China presumably does not.
But isn't every country responsible for their own internal problems?
Isn’t this what being a nation is all about, that everyone respects each other's borders and sovereignty?

I mean, if I sponsor someone and that person uses the money to buy drugs, would this than be my fault, or is it not that own person's responsibility?

Anywayz, I see no difference between China giving monetary aid to the Sudan and America invading Iraq. Both America and China only act in their own self-interest, except China does not use violence or claim moral superiority (fighting the new axis of evil).

However, the main problem is that war is highly profitable.

Tell that to the Tibetans.

Or the few thousand killed in Tianemen Square.

Why?
America never truly acknowledged the Native Americans.
Or the Afro American slaves.
Or the Asian (Japanese) Americans during WWII.

Only very recently have Americans acknowledged that black people are equal to white people.
I personally see no difference between the Chinese who occupy Tibet and the fact that the Native Americans are still occupied by Americans.
But I guess me not being American gives me a different outlook on freedom and being free than most Americans.

Funny thing happened to me this morning, I was wading through the sea of posts and noticed a topic that said....

Should the United States invade Sudan

Can we maybe get back to this topic?

Sudan is none of our business..... Let Africa clean its own backyard. Or better still let Europe lead the effort for a change. They are excellent arm chair quarterbacks, lets see them put their money where their mouth is.
Errr uhmmm What about the all knowing ever powerful UN? Isn't this within the scope of what they were designed to do?

Porn magazines with American women will always do the trick. Not these American Amazons with their scar looking husbands coming in to insult. That will only aggrevate the situation.

There was once an American tourist from Wisconsin who was in Sudan and met another guy in the agricultural department. After conversing it was realized that the tourist from Wisconsin had a great uncle that helped develop the culture that gave a regional cheddar cheese its distinct flavor. So they formed a company and started doing business. While the man from Sudan was visiting the factory in Wisconsin he was turned on to fly fishing by a worker at the plant and next thing you know the man was consumed by his desire to fish and latter immigrated to Montana. While building a new home there he was hanging sheet rock in the basement when a hammer fell on his head and killed him. His family filed a law suit and took the ladder manufacture to court but lost. Without employment, the mans wife ended up on public assistance and through a small business loan for newly immigrated women, opened a boutique and went on to make millions.

So as you can see, female owned boutique businesses in Montana are most certainly related to whether or not the United States should invade Sudan...

Absurd, yes, but this is how going off topic happens. I put those out there as merely a reminder for folks to try and stick to the point and not let things go too far astray. You dig?

Of course.

But as has been stated by others and is shown to be true,Chinese influence is much greater in Sudan than US,it will ultimately decide what happens in Darfur.
