Interesting.....

Research shows places with BLM protests from 2014 to 2019 saw a reduction in police homicides but an uptick in murders.

There’s long been a fierce debate about the effect of Black Lives Matter protests on the lethal use of force by police. A new study, one of the first to make a rigorous academic attempt to answer that question, found that the protests have had a notable impact on police killings. For every 4,000 people who participated in a Black Lives Matter protest between 2014 and 2019, police killed one less person.

So the net effect is BLM protests increase black deaths.

The KKK should donate BLM money.

Less policing equals emboldened criminals.

That’s why Richard Spencer endorsed Biden and the Democrats over Trump. Of course, Biden denounced that endorsement.

But when DNC policies result in more black people being killed, should it surprise anyone that white supremacists gravitate towards them?

Well, there's hardly any police presence, so no wonder. The Police shootings of unarmed blacks and others for that matter, are almost exclusive to Democrat controlled cities. Funny how that happens

From 2014 to 2019, Campbell tracked more than 1,600 BLM protests across the country, largely in bigger cities, with nearly 350,000 protesters. His main finding is a 15 to 20 percent reduction in lethal use of force by police officers — roughly 300 fewer police homicides — in census places that saw BLM protests.

Campbell’s research also indicates that these protests correlate with a 10 percent increase in murders in the areas that saw BLM protests. That means from 2014 to 2019, there were somewhere between 1,000 and 6,000 more homicides than would have been expected if places with protests were on the same trend as places that did not have protests. Campbell’s research does not include the effects of last summer’s historic wave of protests because researchers do not yet have all the relevant data.
So, we saved 300 folks, who were doing something to attract police attention, at the cost of the lives of 1,000 to 6,000 people, many innocent victims just going about their lives? Chances are very, very good that we are discussing folks in the same demographics, so it’s not like you are trading black deaths for white deaths, if you think that is justification.

Who considers this a good trade? I don’t.

There aren't enough police killings to make a reasonable dataset.

This means as much as comparing coconuts to baseball games. The research means zero, unless it is compared to research that shows if places WITHOUT protests from 2014 to 2019 saw a reduction in police homicides.

With this revelation maybe the Police should just stop going out on patrol and responding to 911 calls?

They could just let the good people of those tough neighborhoods handle their own policing. This will either end with all the thugs being taken out or it will turn into a much more terrible place where the gangs run the show and the civilians live in constant fear.

If the average citizen wants out of that nightmare I say that they have more Rights to the handouts that Biden is giving to anyone of the so called "migrants" at the border.

This is a recent story following months of BLM protests and riots in Denver and Aurora.
https://denver.cbslocal.com/2020/10/...ation-tactics/

Quote:
AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) – Aurora police had their man cornered. On Sept. 24 they responded to a home in the Conservatory neighborhood for what they described as a “felony child abuse investigation.” They said the homeowner, Eric Burns, 39, “had a valid misdemeanor no bond DV (domestic violence) warrant out of Denver.” Additionally, APD believed Burns had assaulted his son and abused his daughter.

After several hours, Burns released his 6-year-old daughter. Police negotiators continued trying to coax Burns to give himself up. But when that didn’t happen, after about four hours, an internal Aurora police report says “Decision made to vacate.” Dozens of officers, negotiators and command officers packed up and left Burns in his home.

“We were pretty shocked,” said Staats, “We thought for sure they would have arrested someone. It’s quite concerning they would do that.”

The department declined to be interviewed but released a statement saying, “Members of our community and across the nation have made it very clear that they want their police department to respond differently to some incidents, particularly when there is a possibility of using serious force against a subject.” The statement went on to say “avoiding unnecessary confrontations was now a top priority for the department.”
There was a similar situation in Aurora around the same time where a man in an apartment complex was threatening and menacing neighbors and the police walked away for the same reason leaving neighbors shocked.
Quote:
AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) – A CBS4 investigation has found Aurora police officers twice walked away from arresting a 47-year-old man who was terrorizing residents of an apartment complex, even after the man allegedly exposed himself to kids, threw a rock through one resident's sliding glass door, was delusional, was tasered by police and forced the rescue of two other residents from a second floor room in an apartment he had ransacked.
