This.... Is.... Not.... Working....

Young people need things like jobs, opportunities, a source of income that is not the government. The path we are going down is clearly not the correct path. But people insist that it is the only option available for this nation. If we are not bright enough to figure out a better way, than prosperity for the masses will be unattainable.

Ultimately, we decide what kind of a future we want for our children. If we are going to be ruled by mindless emotions, hate, instead of clear and concise logic, the results are never going to be desirable.

Agree, I don't understand millennials who refuse to grow up. I moved out for the most part at 18 (millenial).

Look at current astronomical rents and look at lack of full time entry level jobs that pay enough to cover rent, food, and transportation. Not to mention health insurance. The bottom rungs on ladder are missing, they got shipped to China and Mexico so the 1% could be even wealthier.

Government needs to encourage mass construction of small affordable houses like they did post WWII. Not so much welfare tenements but real houses say 1000sq ft, at least some with real yards for those not wanting an apartment. We are in the second gilded age where everything seems aimed at high income people. Many of the high end condos and such never even get lived in, they are bought as "investments" and tax write offs. So luxo barge cars, luxo barge houses and apartments. Everything promoting upscale stuff bought with massive consumer debt.

Things will get better. Employment was tough to come by in 2020, and student debt doesn't help matters.

Besides, our children will pay us back by allowing us to stay with them in our old and decrepit days. School is expensive... but assisted living or nursing homes...

We get it up the backside in the beginning and in the end of our lives. Helping out at the beginning of our child's life will help us at the end of ours.

This isn’t surprising. The marriage rates are plummeting too and I saw a chart recently that an insanely high number of men 25-30 are virgins now

.
Those things left our shores years ago sadly. This is nothing new.. Too too much demand and no supply. Sadly, this is only going to get worse as we become more government dependent

Around here last year a lot of people lost their jobs, thanks to the government, and had to move in with relatives.

If you have the opportunity to live with your parents rent free, take it.

The rest of us adults don’t have that option.

For some maybe, but that only considers the financial question of expenses, not the personal impact. For others the restrictive environment is going to stunt their maturity and growth as adults.

I found it much easier to increase my income when I was completely divorced from my parents restrictive patterns of thinking.

I'd say the two stats are related. Come on guys, figure it out.
