Has spending $3,000,000,000,000 of our tax dollars to invade Iraq made us more safe...or less?

Less safe.
The most important thing should be the safety of our nation. Remember, we have troops all over the world, not just the Middle East. It's our foreign policy that causes resentment from other countries. Everytime some of our troops begin meddling in an area where we are not liked, our safety decreases. Resentment can lead to attacks.

That money could have gone into Social security, weaning off foreign oil, health insurance, education, and etc. Long term investments to making US greater. The current administration's short sightedness totally misused that 3T.
But that is the past now.
The question now is who has a long term plan for America? The problem is that being short sighted is easy. Thinking for the long term is hard. Simply look at the average American household with at least one credit card with $9200 in credit card debt. There is something really wrong with the American culture of spending and living the now.

Where do you get the notion the war has cost $3 trillion dollars?
Let me guess? Moveon? Dailykos?
More safe. We haven't been attacked again, have we?

But how do you correct that? The next president will inherit this mess. He can't borrow another 3 trillion from the Chinese for social security, health insurance, infrastructure... can he? Will McCain borrow the 3 trillion to launch attacks against Iran and Syria?

Sort of a kin to asking, has all the billions we spent on education made are kids any smarter? Has all the money we spent on welfare ended poverty?
