This can't be true....just from many of the posts here on C-D it's all the people that voted for Trump, anyone that is a Republican and Conservatives that are driving the vaccination rates down. How can this be ?!
"Black and Hispanic people remain less likely than their White counterparts to have received a vaccine, leaving them at increased risk, particularly as the variant spreads."
It by far and away says blacks are lower in terms of the vaccine. Whites are like 60% and blacks 12%. I don't know where he/she is getting the numbers. It sure the heck isn't from that link.
I don't think the chart says what you think it says.
True because white people who are not Trump voters are at high vaccination rates. Trump voters are at the bottom of vaccination rates. Much lower than blacks.
Republicans 52%
White Evangelical Christians 58%
Adults without a college degree 59%
Black Adults 61%
Hispanic Adults 63%
College Grads 79%
Democrats 86%
Thats not where the fat is, you are talking about 14% of the population, and a younger population so the real # is closer to 5% of the people eligible for vaccines. This is more of "gun control" lets talk about "black on black" crime inanities. I am sure if they do a targeted campaign for black people, you guys will be calling it racist against whites. Quite a great replacement time we are living through.
I know the impulse of some Trump voters to find black people at fault for something or anything is overwhelming to some. But you are not racist, right? But look at the KFF data:
Who has received at least one dose of the vaccine?
Republicans 52%
White Evangelical Christians 58%
Adults without a college degree 59%
Black Adults 61%
Hispanic Adults 63%
College Grads 79%
Democrats 86%
So the question really is:
How will the government gain Trump voters trust to go and vaccinate themselves? Trump voters do not trust the government, do not trust the news media, do not trust science. So this is why they are at the bottom of vaccination rates.
KFF states that it is a non-partisan source of facts and analysis, polling and journalism for policymakers, the media, the health care community, and the general public,[3] and its website has been heralded for having the "most up-to-date and accurate information on health policy"[4] and as a "must-read for healthcare devotees."[5]
Not true. If you look at Figure 3 in your link, overall across the US, 49% of whites have received the vaccine whilst 38% of blacks have received the vaccine. I would consider eleven percentage points significant.
In New York, the difference is fourteen percentage points, Minnesota: thirteen percentage points; Vermont 18 percentage points, and Connecticut: twenty percentage points.
