I wouldn't want that race baiter in my state either.

The odd thing is that many average Democrats I talk to, including blacks, have no use for Al Sharpton. Yet the Democratic leadership seems to love him (see above link about presidential hopefuls at his 2019 NAN conference).

Why is that?

And least 8 presidential hopefuls showed up to kiss his ring at his NAN conference in 2019.

This to me speaks volumes about the current state of the Democratic party.

What a pair, obuma and notsosharpton. Jackson used to be part of the group of race extortionists, but since he got sick-he's on the outside looking in

I doubt it is that they're out of touch. They all spend gazillions on polling, focus groups, etc. It's got to be some other reason.

The Leftist Politicians are definitely Out of Touch when it comes to the Tejanos/Tejanas and Border Counties in Texas. They are beyond ‘offended’ and going straight to Rage. Trust only what the CongressCritters who Represent those Border Counties are saying & the Democrat & Republican CongressCritters are saying the same thing. THEY know those who elect them. THEY know the issues. THEY listen.

The Elite DNC and TeamBiden are totally Out of Touch and Totally Clueless about Immigration and the .Border towns, people, Border Patrol deal with daily. This area is going RED …. They are FED-UP.

It's interesting if you consider Barack Obama, who was brilliant at polling and modern political analytics. He assembled a team of coders, engineers, psyches, anthros--the whole nine yards. He didn't necessarily understand it all himself, but he was plugged in enough to academia to take advantage of it.

He was anything but out of touch. Yet he brought in Al Sharpton as his 'go-to man' on race. My theory is that he saw Sharpton as being very good at ID politics and at fomenting division. That outweighed the negative aspects of Sharpton.

I'd love to hear other theories as to why Obama brought Sharpton into the fold.
