LOS ANGELES - Ellen DeGeneres is putting the California Supreme Court ruling in favor of gay marriage into action — she and Portia de Rossi plan to wed, DeGeneres announced during a taping of her talk show.
OK, call me a homophobe, but this is just plain wrong!

Okay. You're a homophobe

Wrong for YOU; so don't do it, but it's not wrong for them.

I can't imagine what it effects YOU if a same sex couple wishes to confirm their commitment by getting married.

I think its wonderful they want to get married, they make a great couple.

I am not repulsed by Ellen as I am by Rosie, so yeah, what the heck...let them get married. At least Ellen's got some class, and her to-be is not bad for the eyes either!

Yeah, they make a great civil union couple, not a married couple! The majority of people in the US still define marriage as a union between one man and one woman. This "legislate from the bench" decision by the California Supreme Court thwarts the will of the people! Political conflict is not what the gay and lesbian groups want as it focuses negative public opinion on their movement. Also, this is great fodder for the McCain campaign against the Democratic nominee!

I liked Ellen's ex, Alexandra Hedison, but that didn't work out. But then the fact of the matter is that I don't know any of these people personally, anyway, so it always feels silly to talk about celebrities. Whatever the case, I wish them happiness!

I don't think this will actually become much of a campaign issue, the democratic nominee, Barack Obama is not in favor of same sex marriages, he said that he considers marriage between a man and a woman, however he does support civil unions.
I think the majority of people would agree with this position.
