Did you even read the studies? You only have to view 1-hour of PBS' Nature to observe homosexuality among apes and gorillas -- in case you're opposed to reading words, maybe you could watch television in order to learn? I really don't know what to say at this point.

I've seen this program and I've read some of the research. First off, I'm a supporter of gay rights but these studies are purely agenda driven and do very little for the promulgation of equal rights. The very basic fact that in no cases do these studies demonstrate singular sole sexual interaction between single gender members of the species indicates that it isn't precisely homosexual behavior that is being seen. In the instance of cattle, sheep, and other herd animals most of the mounting of same sex typically occur prior to sexual maturity of the animal or during the process of sexual maturation. It MAY sometimes continue into adulthood but most of these animals display an equal or predominate predilection for heterosexual contact.
I grew up on a farm and witnessed MANY examples of the behavior your good doctor points to as proving homosexuality in animals. In none of the instances I have ever observed did actual sexual contact occur. My rather informed but not expert hypothesis is that this is a gender confusion phenomenon and is not evidence of homosexuality in the rest of the animal world. I'm not willing to rule it out in the higher mammals but I do not believe it exists in cattle, sheep, birds, or other animals.

I'm not under the impression that she studies SHOULD promote equality of rights as a message or tone in any study. I think if one treats a homosexual or bisexual differently, much like the two meatheads in this thread, there is no study in the world capable of changing their mind that such people aren't still normal.
I won't challenge your well-thought out hypothesis, because it's certainly thought worthy and provoking. I do, however, find myself curious if you feel that you choose homosexuality? [This is probably better as a PM] -- In my studies, I don't see much differential between homosapien and many other specie throughout nature, with which I'll assume you agree, to a point.

Seriously fillicide and cannibalism is present in animals,it doesn't however make it normal behavior.

And the fact that you are so ridiculously misinformed, clueless, judgemental, prejudice, hateful, intolerant, etc. etc. says a whole hell of alot about you. You're a disgusting, rude, hateful type of person-almost every single post of yours has been nothing but negative towards others. You've done everything to try to tear people down w/your incessant judging & homphobia not to mention constantly looking down at others for anything that you deem abnormal or wrong. I feel extremely sorry for your kids because you'll do nothing to stop the hatred that you feel towards others & you'll teach that to your kids, that cycle will never stop. Fortunately, most people do not stew in their ignorance like you & others on this forum. Most people have gotten an education & actually gone out & seen the real world & realized there are differences amongst everyone. Instead of putting that down, how about realizing it & moving on?? I accept people for who they are instead of trying to outcast them and that makes me a better person than you any day.

This thread isn't about homosexuality...at this point between gays and talk of animal sexuality, I don't know what you guys are talking about anymore.
