The laws of 38 states also recognize the human fetus as the legal victim of homicide and often, other violent crimes during the entire period of prenatal development (27 states) or during part of the prenatal period (nine states).
Varies by state. (Gee, that's interesting isn't it? )

I too predict widespread public unrest if SCOTUS' ruling does indeed do away with Roe v. Wade.

Leftists (I use that term as opposed to "Democrats" because many Democrat voters, including people I know, are not the type who use violence when political decisions they dislike take place; some have marched, but they haven't committed arson and vandalism and assault) will do this in large part because they have been taught, whether in college, at home, or through a combination of factors, that when things don't go their way, it is acceptable to destroy, to deface, and to profane that which isn't theirs.

A generation of Americans has learned no respect for tradition and for private and public property while being brainwashed with the idea that "revolution" is righteous and that to use violence is likewise moral.

These kids are largely ignorant, and many are unaware that as other posters wrote, a SCOTUS decision overturning Roe v. Wade will simply send the decision back to the state level, which means states such as NY and CA will continue to keep abortion legal.

These spoiled domestic terrorists did the same 2 years ago in what was an organized insurrection which cost the U.S. $2bn in damage (the largest-ever price tag stemming from a man-made disaster). They will do it again.

And the irony is that these clueless overgrown children think Republicans, President Trump, conservatives, etc. constitute a threat to "democracy," yet they have slandered and threated SCOTUS justices, violated laws by protesting in front of their homes, attacked and harassed Trump supporters who were minding their business, believed in the Russia collusion hoax (no collusion ever took place), and think the 2020 election had no fraud.

To any C-D poster: if you join in summertime violence should SCOTUS overrule Roe v. Wade, you will simply become a foot soldier of people in positions of power who hold you in contempt and to whom you are expendable. Your welfare was immaterial to them during the Covid-19 "pandemic," as was your and your loved ones' livelihoods. Do not destroy what isn't yours if a SCOTUS decision is not to your liking.

We conservatives didn't destroy/burn/loot/steal/plunder the way so many of you did in mid-2020. And while many of the 2020 miscreants got away with their terrorism, some did not. You may be arrested and punished if you commit criminal acts.

Tread carefully.

And no one was indicted.
No congressional hearings or investigations
No rioters were sent to solitary confinement for a year
The media didn’t go into “domestic terrorist” hysterics for months
Democrats are untouchable w our corruptly biased double standard justice system…..

No one is more violent than the far right white supremacists. Jan 6th was just practice. They killed and will kill again, all for Trump.

A few broken windows vs. $2bn in damage.

Not even close.

But...

This African-born, immigrant, former Muslim, survivor of what would have been a forced and arranged marriage, naturalized American citizen who is married to a white man and the mother of two mixed-race children disagrees with you about "white supremacists" being the most violent.

Her final three words in this video are, to those who think white supremacists are the biggest threat in the U.S., are: "get a grip."

I don't expect you to watch, but if you do, you'll be better off.

America won her freedom and independence due to ordinary citizens taking up arms and fighting THEIR OWN govt.

We celebrate what these people did every year! Americans have NO place to be 'against violence in politics'

A terrible analogy.

The violence and anarchy caused by leftist terrorists and criminals in mid-2020 was not an effort to secure freedom or independence or any other such virtue. It was mayhem, assault, battery, murder, plunder, rapine, and arson.

"Violence in politics?" SCOTUS decisions are final. Conservatives didn't riot/loot/plunder when SCOTUS kept DACA, for example. Conservatives didn't riot/loot/plunder when that judge who refused to say what a woman is was voted into SCOTUS recently. And so forth.

Please do not make such fallacious arguments.

Congratulations. Most illogical post I've seen in months.
Who exactly was doing all of those billions of dollars in property damage in 2020?

Personally, I think it's smart for DHS to prepare for *any* violence, regardless of who is being violent. Some people will just break things and loot because they can. There are those who aren't interested in the whole Roe v Wade thing, but will join whatever/whoever as a way of getting out all this negative energy that's built-up.

People can try and categorize each and every one, but I believe it will be a mix that simply doesn't represent any one faction.

And still, you guys don't recognize or understand that not everyone is a "lib" or a "conservative." Millions identify as something different, whether that's Independent, Moderate, Centrist, Libertarian and other points along a spectrum that don't fall neatly into the 2 most extreme ends of that bell curve.

Oh yes...the abortion people are pretty nasty even when compared to BLM.

The BLM "peaceful" protests involving burn, loot and pillage will look like a walk in the park compared to what these abortion folks may do.

They already threatened to burn down the Supreme Court.
