You might be tempted to say that handguns aren't relevant to the argument because they aren't used in mass shootings, but that's not true either; Handguns are the most common weapon type used in mass shootings in the United States, with a total of 146 different handguns being used in 98 incidents between 1982 and May 2022. https://www.statista.com/statistics/...on-types-used/
A fetus is no longer an embryo.

It's easy for these mentally ill people to get a gun. Really easy.

No other developed country has this problem with mass shootings.
That's actually just an opinion - and not true.

My choice would be to check into every mass shooters backround of prescribed psychotropic drugs like Ritalin and other anti-depressants/anti-psychotics. I would check their mental health history. I think most if not almost all of the true mass shootings come down to mental health and treatment with these drugs or people being off their drugs.

I am talking about "mass" shootings. Someone snapping and killing his wife and her lover, or his boss and the secretary who witnessed it, is NOT a "mass" shooting. Mass means "mass", at least several people shot, not 2 or 3.

So......you do realize that guns are inanimate objects, right? They can't do anything without human intervention. Just sayin'. It seems like you think that guns can spring to life and fire all by themselves.

So yes, it is, in fact, everything but the gun. You're welcome for today's lesson in logic.

He reminds me of the liberal California girl who went to a gun show to "prove" how easy anybody could buy a gun there. She tried to buy a gun but found out she had to have a background check. She found out she had to transfer it through a licensed gun dealer. She found out she could not leave with her purchased gun, but had to wait 10 days for delivery. She found out she could not purchase 2 guns, as California is a one-gun-per-month state.

She was shocked to find out her easy purchase was not so easy.

He is right that any mentally ill person can eventually get a gun, just like everybody who wants illegal drugs or underage girls can always get them illegally. The black market will sell you anything you want at a price. There is always a way around legal prohibitions. It certainly is not "hard".

It is only the law-abiding who want to behave and who fear the consequences of getting caught, who adhere to prohibitions by and large. The mentally ill don't have the mental competence to care about the consequence of getting caught. They are going to get what they want eventually. They will just keep at it until they do.

I always knew the reason: they want attention.

Interesting...drugs are quite easy to come by, and yet tens of millions of Americans have never tried or used them.

Maybe we should just make murdering or assaulting someone illegal ? That should fix things, right ?

I think the bigger more disturbing issue is
why do we have so many in our society that are willing to commit violence ? Why are there so many that just snap when they have to deal with adversity ? Why do we have people that put no value in human life ? Why do we have so many that have no fear of incarceration ?

And here is the number one question, why do we have so many committing suicide ? Keep in mind, the majority of deaths involving firearms is suicides. The media, and our politicians seem to want us to forget that one.

That's what happens when she uses other liberals who are as ignorant as she was, for her only sources of "information".... and ignores the people who actually know, because they are "obviously biased". I.e. they don't agree with her.

Biden seeks to ban semi-automatic cars... 42915 people died in 2021 from cars that didn't have manual transmissions !
Let's stop those automatic transmission assault cars and stop the carnage !
