Considering the dude was a habitual offender and throwing hands himself, I think the firefighters showed restraint.

Bless the LAFD for fighting back against crime!

The Los Angeles Fire Department is investigating an incident captured on video in which firefighters at a fire station in Silver Lake beat and forcibly remove a transient who allegedly tried to break into the facility.

“The department launched an internal investigation. Concurrently, the Los Angeles Police Department is conducting a criminal investigation,” Cheryl Getuiza, the LAFD's government affairs director, told City News Service on Saturday. “Until the completion of the investigations, the members involved have been detailed to administrative duties.”

Check out the FD had to put razor wire on top of high walls in that neighborhood.

Surprised some of the politicians haven't come out screaming racism or condemning this "attack".

I'm suprised California has not rounded up all the homeless from out of state and put them on buses back to their home towns. Would likely eliminate 50%+ of the issue immediatly.

That’s not unusual.

Especially if firemen work in an area with large homeless population and mental illness.

I hear fire houses have really good food. I can sympathize with the homeless dude. He just wanted some good grub.

How much longer until the Democrats demand we defund the fire department?

Sometimes tough love is needed to get a point across. I used to be against excessive use of force but I've seen enough examples to where it just works, and this guy probably had it coming.
